The following resources and opportunities are available to all Booth students.
Impact Investing Seminar
Introduced in fall 2014, this unique seminar provides students with a framework to understand
impact investing and the skills to source, evaluate, and measure
opportunities in the space. The seminar also includes readings, cases,
and lectures on the topic and is intended to supplement a student’s
learning at Chicago Booth. Students enrolled in the seminar will also
participate in MIINT, which will allow them to apply their learning
through the active sourcing and vetting of social ventures.
The non-credit seminar series is taught by Brian Axelrad, ’09, chief investment officer at Beyond Capital Fund (an impact investment fund focused on India and East Africa) and corporate attorney and chair of the Venture Capital & Technology Practice at Horwood Marcus & Berk in Chicago. Email the Rustandy Center to learn more.
Social Entrepreneurs in Residence (SEIR)
Launched in 2013, the SEIR program welcomes to campus successful social entrepreneurs to provide coaching and mentoring to individual students, engage in programs and workshops with student groups, and meet with alumni and faculty. Email Erica Phillips to set up a meeting with the SEIR or schedule a speaking engagement for your student group.
