Chicago Booth

The Social Enterprise Initiative works closely with leaders in the impact sector to connect Booth alumni, students, and faculty with opportunities to give back and to make available new research and data sets that provide insights into how institutions organize to address complex social and environmental problems.

SEI's resources for nonprofits include programs designed to increase the efficacy of nonprofit governing boards, in particular by providing access to programming highlighting trends and best practices in nonprofit board service and by connecting organizations with Booth students and alumni looking to serve on boards.

Understanding social sector dynamics. Educating leaders. Supporting social impact.

The Social Enterprise Initiative (SEI) at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business supports the aspirations of students and alumni to impact societal issues and furthers research on how institutions help solve social problems. Through ongoing curricular development, alumni and student programming, and support of faculty pursuits, SEI builds on Chicago Booth's commitment to rigorous analysis and its discipline-based approach to understanding organizations, markets, and policy.
