On Board

On Board, hosted by the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at Chicago Booth, brings together students, alumni, and nonprofit professionals to discuss key trends and best practices in nonprofit board service.

At the Rustandy Center, we believe that board service is an important and effective way for our alumni and students to give back while building leadership skills. Further, we are committed to the notion that thoughtful discourse about the role and evolution of nonprofit boards, as they seek to maximize impact on their chosen social issue while maintaining financial stability, is a worthwhile endeavor.

On Board is organized to speak to varying levels of professional expertise and highlight issues common among nonprofit organizations and their associated boards of directors. The conference is offered in New York City and Chicago.

Doing Good is Serious Business

The Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation is the destination for people committed to helping solve complex social and environmental problems. As Chicago Booth's social impact hub, we build on the school's grounding in business fundamentals with experiential learning and research-based insights. Then, through programs, including the John Edwardson, '72, Social New Venture Challenge and training for nonprofit board members, we equip our community with the knowledge and tools to positively impact humanity.
