Schedule and Key Dates

Most other business schools and graduate entrepreneurship programs host a single day or weekend business plan competition. The SNVC at Chicago Booth is not just a competition. Instead, it is a year-long launch program that features three distinct phases:


Phase I: Idea Generation, Business Idea Validation, Team Formation, and Application
Phase II: Course - Mentoring, Critical Feedback & Business Plan Development
Phase III: Final Pitches


October 3: Social Entrepreneurship & Design Program Info Session 

October 24: SNVC Kickoff (Full time students, at Harper, 6-8:30pm)

October 28th: SNVC Kickoff (Evening/Weekend students at Gleacher at 12:15pm)
January 9: How to Write a Feasibility Summary Presentation and Quick Pitch

January 10: OpenImpact | Build Session
February 1: Phase I - Feasibility Summaries Due @ 10am
February 19: Phase II teams announced

February 22: OnRamp (Phase II teams)

February 26: Mandatory Phase II Orientation

February 28: Stalking Horse Group
Spring Quarter: SNVC classroom portion begins for Phase II teams
May 22: SNVC Finals
