2017 US Monetary Policy Forum

This annual conference brings together academics, market economists, and policy makers. The conference is sponsored by the Initiative on Global Markets at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

The conference began with this year’s report titled "Deflating Inflation Expectations: The Implications of Inflation's Simple Dynamics," by Stephen Cecchetti (Brandeis), Michael Feroli (J. P. Morgan), Peter Hooper (Deutsche Bank), Anil Kashyap (University of Chicago), and Kermit Schoenholtz (NYU Stern).

The conference keynote speech on "Monetary Policy: By Rule, By Committee, or By Both?," was given by Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
