2017 US Monetary Policy Forum

This annual conference brings together academics, market economists, and policy makers. The conference is sponsored by the Initiative on Global Markets at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Program
The conference began with the 2017 report titled "Deflating Inflation Expectations: The Implications of Inflation's Simple Dynamics," by Stephen Cecchetti (Brandeis), Michael Feroli (J. P. Morgan), Peter Hooper (Deutsche Bank), Anil Kashyap (University of Chicago), and Kim Schoenholtz (NYU Stern).

The conference keynote speech on "Monetary Policy: By Rule, By Committee, or By Both?," was given by Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
The conference continued with a panel on the lessons from countries’ experiences with negative interest rates and included:
