This annual conference brings together academics, market economists and policymakers. The conference is co-sponsored by the Initiative on Global Markets at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Rosenberg Institute for Global Finance at the Brandeis International Business School.
The conference began with a keynote speech by Alan Blinder titled "Making Monetary Policy and Talking about It."
This year's report, "Understanding the Evolving Inflation Process," was prepared by Stephen Cecchetti, Peter Hooper, Bruce Kasman, Kim Schoenholtz, and Mark Watson. The report was discussed by two FOMC members, see remarks below:
