The Initiative on Global Markets will hold conferences to support its goal of engaging policymakers and leading international businesses on the major issues facing the global economy.

US Monetary Policy Forum

Each year, the IGM will hold the US Monetary Policy Forum. This annual conference brings together academics, market economists, and policymakers. The USMPF panelists, a standing committee of academic and private sector economists, produces a report on critical medium-term issues confronting the Federal Open Market Committee.

Political Economy in the Chicago Area

The IGM also co-sponsors the Political Economy in the Chicago Area. This annual conference brings together researchers in political economy from the greater Chicago area to present papers, share ideas and foster a tighter research community.
