Vikrant Vig is a professor of finance at London Business School. He studies financial regulation, the housing market, and corruption. During his visit to Chicago Booth, Professor Vig presented research on banking regulation in Germany that shows that banks are able to take advantage of more complex regulation to lower their cost of capital, but the regulation does not appear to lower default rates on loans.
