Campus Lab

Faculty, students, and associates at the Center for Decision Research have numerous ongoing studies investigating how people form judgments and make decisions. Many of these studies take place in one of our private research facilities, the Campus Lab. The Campus Lab is in Suite C74 on the Classroom Level of the Chicago Booth Harper Center Building at 58th Street and Woodlawn Avenue.

Participants for our studies are always needed, and most studies are conducted on a walk-in basis in the Campus Lab: You may stop in and participate whenever we have studies available (Our walk-in hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.)

Researchers can learn more about conducting research at the Campus Lab at this password-protected information page, (which requires an authorized Chicago Booth login and password). If you are a researcher seeking information about using the lab and do not have a valid login and password, please email the manager of lab operations, Rebecca White.

Welcome to the Center for Decision Research

The Center for Decision Research is devoted to the study of how individuals form judgments and make decisions. Researchers at the center examine the processes by which intuition, reasoning, and social interaction produce beliefs, judgments, and choices. Understanding how and why people make decisions has important applications in a range of contexts, including management, marketing, finance, and public policy.
