The PIMCO Decision Research Laboratories at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Center for Decision Research allow our faculty, students, and associates to better understand how people form judgments and make decisions. Our Hyde Park location is housed in the Harper Center on the University of Chicago campus.

Participate in Paid Research

Participants are always needed for studies at our Hyde Park location. University of Chicago students, faculty, and staff may drop in to participate any time during our hours of operation. Appointments are required for all other participants. Register for an account to get started

Sign Up to Participate

Studies may last from five minutes to over an hour, and many participants complete multiple studies in a single visit. Studies pay a minimum rate of $12 per hour ($1 per five minutes). To help ensure reliable data, participants at the Hyde Park location may not complete studies at the Loop location.

Getting to the Lab

If you have a University of Chicago ID: enter the Harper Center and proceed down one floor to the classroom/lower level. Follow the signs for the Decision Research Lab (suite C74).

If you do not have a University of Chicago ID: Enter the Harper Center via the main entrance on S. Woodlawn Ave, and check in at the security desk with a photo ID (visitors without a photo ID and appointment will not able to access the lab). Proceed down one floor to the classroom level, and follow the signs for the Decision Research Lab (suite C74).
