The PIMCO Decision Research Laboratories at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Center for Decision Research enable academics to conduct high-quality behavioral science experiments to better understand how people form judgments and make decisions. The robust empirical data the labs generate are the building blocks for our faculty's game-changing research, which appears in top academic journals, as well as outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post, and BBC News.
In summer 2021, the CDR opened Mindworks in downtown Chicago, the world's first lab and discovery center dedicated to behavioral science, where visitors help drive scientific breakthroughs by participating in experiments.
The CDR is also conducting research in-person throughout the Chicagoland via our Pop Up Lab and online in the PIMCO Decision Research Virtual Laboratory. The Hyde Park Lab is temporarily closed but will re-open September 29, 2022.
