The PIMCO Decision Research Laboratories at the Roman Family Center for Decision Research enable academics to conduct high-quality behavioral science experiments to better understand how people form judgments and make decisions. The robust empirical data the labs generate are the building blocks for our faculty's game-changing research, which appears in top academic journals, as well as outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post, and BBC News.
Lab Locations
In summer 2021, the center opened Mindworks in downtown Chicago, the world's first lab and discovery center dedicated to behavioral science, where visitors help drive scientific breakthroughs by participating in experiments.
The Roman Family Center is also conducting research in-person at our Campus Lab in Hyde Park, throughout the Chicagoland via our Pop Up Lab, and online in the PIMCO Decision Research Virtual Laboratory.
