The Center for Decision Research is pleased to announce that CDR Director of Lab Services Dr. Becky White recently won a Booth Impact Award for her outstanding leadership of the center's research staff and data collection efforts.
The Chicago Booth Impact Award honors those who show a commitment to Booth and Booth’s mission by executing their job with respect, excellence, and integrity, recognizing those who create impact and empowerment through these values.
More than 25 current and former members of the CDR and Booth communities collaborated on the nomination, testifying to the breadth of Dr. White's positive impact and the enthusiasm she inspires.
In announcing the award, Dean Madhav Rajan recognized Dr. White's work launching the "phenomenally successful" PIMCO Decision Research Virtual Lab earlier this year, as well as the international data collection partnerships in China and India she oversees.
Dr. White joined the CDR as a postdoctoral researcher and manager of research operations in 2007, led the operations of the Downtown Lab at the Clark Adams Building in 2009, and became the CDR Labs Director in 2018, overseeing operations of the Hyde Park, Loop, and Pop Up Labs as she manages a growing team and adaptive research infrastructure.
Dr. White is also an Adjunct Professor of Behavioral Science, having earned her PhD in quantitative psychology from the Ohio State University, with focus in the study of judgment and decision making.
