Research Papers

Accounting research addresses the way that information is used in economic decisions both inside and outside organizations. Accounting research draws on a number of underlying disciplines, including economics, psychology, and statistics, and is often closely related to research in these areas as well as in areas such as corporate finance, investments, management, securities law, and other fields.

Chicago Booth accounting faculty have a broad range of research interests, including external financial reporting and disclosure issues, securities regulation, international financial reporting issues, and the role of accounting in contracting.
