On Board, the Social Enterprise Initiative’s nonprofit board service conference, brings together students, alumni, and nonprofit executive directors and board presidents to discuss key trends and best practices in nonprofit board service.

The On Board conference is organized to highlight three levels of professional expertise. You may attend any session you choose, regardless of experience. Each track offers facts, analytical tools, and insights about board service.

Introduction to Board Service: Learn how nonprofit board service can help you build your resume and hone your skills in a leadership role at a nonprofit. Get ideas about how to make an impact in the social sector. Attend this track if you are not currently on a nonprofit board or if you are just getting started in a board service role.

Best Practices for Board Members: Find out how to make an impact in the social sector by incorporating the sector’s best practices while lending your professional skills to a nonprofit board. Attend this track if you are currently on a nonprofit board and want to increase your effectiveness in your role.

Nonprofit Board Management
: Designed for seasoned board managers (e.g., executive directors, board presidents/chairs, etc.), this track will connect you with top-quality candidates and facilitate deep connections with your peers.
