On Board

Conference on Nonprofit Board Service
Hosted by the Chicago Booth Social Enterprise Initiative

On Board, the Social Enterprise Initiative’s nonprofit board service conference, brings together students, alumni, and nonprofit executive directors and board presidents to discuss key trends and best practices in nonprofit board service.

At Chicago Booth, we believe that board service is an important and effective way for our alumni and students to give back while building leadership skills. Further, we are committed to the notion that thoughtful discourse about the role and evolution of nonprofit boards, as they seek to maximize impact on their chosen social issue while maintaining financial stability, is a worthwhile endeavor.

The On Board conference is organized to speak to varying levels of professional expertise and highlight issues common among nonprofit organizations and their associated boards of directors.

We look forward to welcoming you to On Board 2016 on April 15, 2016, for a day of new insights and opportunities in nonprofit board service.

Understanding social sector dynamics. Educating leaders. Supporting social impact.

The Social Enterprise Initiative (SEI) at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business supports the aspirations of students and alumni to impact societal issues and furthers research on how institutions help solve social problems. Through ongoing curricular development, alumni and student programming, and support of faculty pursuits, SEI builds on Chicago Booth's commitment to rigorous analysis and its discipline-based approach to understanding organizations, markets, and policy.
