
Kilts Center for Marketing is hosting its 8th annual Marketing Day Forum on April 11, 2013.
The event brings together more than 200 current students, local alumni, CEOs, CMOs, and other senior executives in small-group settings to engage in meaningful and relevant dialogue around the field of marketing, the value of data, and marketing's importance to creating marketplace value. The event includes featured round table discussions, networking opportunities, and an educational component.

The Kilts Center offers students an opportunity learn more about the Nielsen data - what it is and how to use it. The Kilts-Nielsen Data Center is the exclusive clearinghouse for academic researcher purposes. Students will hear a panel of second-year students share their experiences with Nielsen data during their Marketing internships and receive a glossary of terms. Watch the recording >

Booth alumni Kevin Willer, '10 (XP-79), and Ted Buell, '07, came to campus to discuss the evolution of search marketing over the past decade, where it's going, and how companies are taking advantage of the changing landscape. They shared insights into digital marketing trends and how marketers are keeping up with the rapidly evolving and growing space, including mobile, local, and video. Read story or view presentation >
Frank Piotrowski, senior vice president of measurement science at Nielsen Company, explained how raw consumer data is mined for insights. "Now it's all about timing. We provide applications to run through the data, so our clients can get to those insights," he said.
